We are delighted to announce that our Woodside Retirement Village has been judged the winner in the Seniors Living category of the prestigious Urban Development Institute of Australia’s (UDIA) SA Awards for Excellence. The award program recognises the most outstanding examples of built form and master-planned developments in South Australia.

We are particularly pleased to have been judged the winner in our category because it follows on from our win last year when our Chiton Retirement Village came out on top. This is fantastic industry endorsement of our approach to retirement living and positions our villages as market-leading.

We are very proud of what we have achieved at Woodside Lodge. This village is situated at 18 Tolmer Road, Woodside, a short drive from the iconic town of Hahndorf in the Adelaide Hills. It offers the ultimate retirement lifestyle in the most picturesque of countryside settings but there is much more than just amazing scenery on offer. Residents also enjoy a strong sense of community and a remarkable range of onsite facilities including a gym, hairdressing salon, billiards room and other communal entertainment areas. There is even a well-equipped workshop for the handier amongst us!

Construction on Woodside Lodge began in 2011 and is characterised by modern, comfortable and surprisingly affordable villa-style properties on suitably-sized lots ranging in size from 205m2 to 235m2. The homes offer two bedrooms or two bedrooms plus a study as well as a single or double garage and open plan living. Like all KeyInvest retirement villages, Woodside Lodge caters for active, independent retirees who want to enjoy their retirement years to the fullest.

The Woodside Retirement Village was judged the winner in the Senior Living category on account of the quality of lifestyle it offers residents as well as a broad range of build, design and site management elements including:

  • The contemporary villa-style housing design
  • High water and energy efficiency ratings
  • Extensive range of onsite facilities
  • Engineering considerations e.g. a storm water management plan and incorporation of existing, mature trees on site.
  • Highly positive feedback from residents as well as the greater Woodside community

The board and executive management of KeyInvest would like to share this award with all of our passionate, hardworking staff who contributed to the development of the Woodside Lodge.
